After building a career leading communications and marketing initiatives for major enterprises in Canada and the U.S., Mary-Jane founded Asset Digital Communications with a clear purpose: to serve SMBs who need senior-level strategy but can’t justify hiring a full-time chief marketing officer. She built the agency to solve a problem she had seen too many times throughout her career.

Long before founding Asset Digital Communications, Mary-Jane spent decades building and leading businesses across health, technology, and social impact sectors.

Prior to running small businesses, she honed her sales and marketing skills at enterprise technology leaders like Hewlett-Packard, Kronos Workforce Solutions, Intelex Technologies, and Corporate Spending Solutions. Working in sales, strategy, and leadership roles with these organizations gave her a deep understanding of performance-driven marketing, scalable systems, and the rigour required to drive measurable results. She now brings this expertise directly to her clients at Asset Digital.

As she was starting a family, she felt that running a small business would afford her more control of her schedule to meet the demands of a young family, while also maintaining her business skills. She launched what became an award-winning line of healthcare products for women, Ecofem Products, with a cornerstone offering of chlorine-free menstrual products distributed across Canada and the United States.

She expanded her impact through Great Northern Naturals, a Canadian natural products distribution company that caters to health food stores and natural products retailers across Ontario and eastern Canadian provinces.
